Kindergarten students are learning to use the tools in the software program Kid Pix. We will be playing with the tools for a few weeks so that we are used to what each tool does and then we will be working on some Alphabet activities using Kid Pix.
On March 11th we will complete a "Lucky Charms" sorting project. We have joined in with other schools around the United States who are also completing this project. We will sort our shapes and learn how to graph them. We will share our results and they will be combined into a giant graph. Be sure to look for our results!
St. Patrick's Day Project 2010 We participated in an online project hosted by Jenuinetech.com. We participated along with other schools from the United States, Canada, and Europe. Our task was to tally the marshmallow shapes in a box of Lucky Charms. We sorted our shapes and tallied them on individual sheets. We also took our information to the computer and used Excel to create a spreadsheet and created a graph of our individual and class results. We also created a voicethread about our project! Hope you enjoy! We had a great time!

Grade 3 begins the year doing a project called "Marvelous Me".

We are beginning our next project! We will be working with Mrs. Pereira on an animal project and will be conducting research and filling in our research sheet with the findings.
Grade 4 begins the year working on a project called "Nifty Fifty States" Each student is assigned a specific state to learn about. We learn how to research using the internet and create a multimedia presentation of their assigned state.
Grade 5 began the year with a survey "About Me". We will practice our keyboarding skills, learn about Internet Safety, and we will review the State Capitals while learning how to use Google Earth.
Dec/Jan - We are working on a new project called the Explorers. We will be conducting research and put our findings in a wiki. We will also create a short movie about our explorer.

April/May - Native American Websites- We have been working on researching native american tribes. Each student collected information on their assigned tribe and then reported the information on a website! We hope you take a look at our websites!
